As a website, Postmedia.net was born in the fall of 1996 and quickly registered many subscribers and monthly web page visitors. Beside keeping their audience updated with the main art events taking place in Europe, they dedicated their platform to sharing information about new book releases around topics such as visual culture (contemporary art, architecture, cinema, design, and womens studies). In 2002 they made postmediabooks. Both the website and the book publishing platform are now closed.
