The Sobey Art Award is one of Canada’s most prestigious contemporary art prizes. It’s awarded annually to a visual artist under 40 who has exhibited in a public or commercial art gallery within 18 months of being nominated. The award aims to recognize and support emerging Canadian artists and provide them with a platform to showcase their work nationally and internationally.
