Mamántula

Mamántula is the boy that everyone desires, but he is also, secretly, a giant tarantula disguised as a human, engendered during a brief encounter in a distant paradise.

In an alternate present of brutalist saunas, endless subway corridors and detectives in trench coats and hats, each of Mamántula's lovers falls victim to his insatiable lust for blood and semen; one more thread in the stellar spider's web he is weaving to return to the dimension where he belongs.

This screening is part of “Veneno pa tu piel”, the sixth chapter of the film program Queer Strategies and Tentacles, curated by Rosa Barotsi and Zairong Xiang, and unfolding in eight chapters between November 25th, 2024 and March 2, 2025, with the films of each chapter streaming for two weeks.
