Hosokura has created work that  from the body as a way to blur and rethink boundaries that were once taken for granted — boundaries between race and nationality, between humans and plants or machines, and between the organic and the inorganic.

In this worlk, she layers together portraits of men she photographed herself, images of male sculptures held in museum collections, clippings from gay magazines, and selfies taken by Korean men — building up a large-scale digital collage. Within it, you can find fragmented male bodies, a scanner (which was used as the main camera throughout the filmmaking process), skin marked with mysterious tattoos, casual conversations between Hosokura and a filmmaker friend, and scattered words exchanged with the models during shooting — all woven together in overlapping layers.

These elements are brought together to create a space where "memory," "documentation," and "things that may never have been documented at all" meet and run through each other.
