The Dutch Art Institute a.k.a. DAI, a.k.a. DAI Roaming Academy fosters a variety of praxes at the intersections of art and theory (both seen as undisciplines), and invigorates (collective) thinking, researching, voicing, making, roaming, curating, performing, writing, and publishing.

The DAI’s MA in Art Praxis consists of three curriculum components: individual study at How To Do Things With Theory, designed to help students develop skills to formulate relevant questions which strengthen their praxes based on carefully selected theoretical texts; collaborative work at the COOP study groups asking for  active participation in & productive contributions to curated, cooperative, un-disciplined, art research trajectories; and Planetary Campus, an innovative conceptual space (without walls) where the MA curriculum “DAI Art Praxis” meets with a wide variety of external parties, to share art and research. Conviviality is at the heart of the program: infrastructures can be artworks too.

As of September 2017, after bidding farewell to its venue in Arnhem, to bricks and walls, DAI became a Roaming Academy inviting its students and tutors to plug into the so-called DAI week: an experimental learning environment/think tank/networking platform/theory camp, a quite funky temporary art commune, a soft spaceship carefully landing at a changing variety of locations in and around Europe.
