School of Art

The School of Art at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) comprises an international collective of artists, writers, educators, and scholars. Conducted within a supportive community, student work explores, challenges, and examines contemporary and historical issues. Situated on the US/Mexico border, a vibrant site for artmaking, program specialties include Latin American and Latina/x art history, Latina/x identities, and borderlands-informed art practices.
