The Robert Schumann Hochschule (Robert Schumann conservatory) is a school for music studies at the conservatory level located in Düsseldorf, Germany. The conservatory has a student body of some 850 coming from over forty countries. Forty-seven full-time and part-time faculty and 200 associate professors provide individualized instruction.

The programs of study offered by the Robert Schumann Hochschule cover the entire range of music professions.

A special role is played by the Institute of Music and Media which concentrates on the practical training of students for careers in media and the music industry. Majors such as Classical Music Recording, Media Composition, Music Informatics, Music Production, Music and Audiovisual Media, Music- and Media Management, Music and Text or Visual Music provide excellent training for work in these specialized fields. The program of studies Audio and Video, offered in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf, combines studies in engineering with formal conservatory training. Düsseldorf is the only conservatory to offer this major in Germany.

Furthermore, the Klang und Realität master’s program is housed at the Institute of Music and Media, which brings together performative, compositional, and algorithmic forms of contemporary art. In keeping with this expansive vision, the program combines aesthetic, technical, and theoretical approaches.
