This fall, join us at the Barney Building in New York City’s East Village for open studios, information sessions, visiting artist lectures, and exhibitions. Our six-story Beaux Arts structure houses studios, galleries, and performance and lecture spaces, and is located at 34 Stuyvesant Street, just east of Third Avenue at 9th Street in New York City. All events at the Barney Building unless otherwise noted.
Information sessions for prospective students:

All Graduate Programs in Art and Art Professions
Wednesday, October 24, 6–8pm
M.A./M.F.A. programs in Studio Art, Visual Arts Administration, Art Therapy, Art Education, and Costume Studies. Meet with program directors and representatives from the NYU Steinhardt Graduate Admissions Office.
Registration required

B.F.A. in Studio Art: Portfolio Review Day
Sunday, November 11 at 1pm
One-on-one portfolio review, an opportunity to meet current B.F.A. students and faculty, and a tour of Department facilities.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required

Arts Management Graduate Programs
Monday, November 26, 6–8pm
M.A. programs in Music Business, Performing Arts Administration, and Visual Arts Administration.

M.A. in Art Education: Thursdays 6–7pm on November 8 and 29, December 13, and January 10 and 24. Email Rachel Brown at [email protected] to register for one of these sessions.

M.A. in Visual Arts Administration: Thursdays 6–7pm on November 1 and 15, and December 6 and 20. Email Rachel Brown at [email protected] to register for one of these sessions.

M.F.A./M.A./Certificate in Studio Art: Thursdays 3–4pm on November 1 and December 13.
Email Mary Ann Santos at [email protected] to register for one of these sessions.

B.F.A. in Studio Art: Most Fridays at 3:30pm. Includes a tour of the B.F.A. facilities. Email Alex Jovanovich at [email protected] to register for one of these sessions.

M.F.A./B.F.A. Open Studios
Open Studios and Open House festivities will be scheduled for the weekend of December 1. Studios, art installations, performances, and screenings will be free and open to the public. Organized by students from the Department’s M.F.A., B.F.A., and M.A. programs.
