Enrique Marty – Reinterpretada reinterpreted

In Reinterpretada Reinterpreted, Enrique Marty (b. 1969, Salamanca) re-interprets for Deweer Gallery the exhibition he made a few months ago for the Museo Lázaro Galdiano in Madrid. Enrique Marty is the first of a series of Spanish artists who were invited by curator Rafael Doctor to “work” with the collection of the museum. Many of the works Marty created for Madrid now will be on view in Otegem, among others a series of 120 watercolours. On the occasion of the exhibition Deweer Gallery will publish the book Enrique Marty – Reinterpretada Reinterpreted, that illustrates each of these watercolours.

Marc Bauer – Static/Unfolding Time
Marc Bauer (b. 1975, Geneva) is currently gaining great fame with amazing drawings. The Museum Folkwang, Essen, Germany, recently purchased one of Marc’s monumental wall drawings and the artist has been selected for the international group show Drawing Now that will be on view at Albertina, Vienna, Austria (from the end of May onwards) and at S.M.A.K. – Museum of Contemporary Art, Ghent, Belgium, in October. For Deweer Gallery Marc Bauer brings together a selection of recent drawings with a series of new ones. In the gallery’s Lobby, Marc will make a large site-specific wall drawing. And in the gallery’s Blackbox his “animation” movie The Astronaut (2013) will be screened.
