Call and response by Erik Aalto Men That Fall by Performing PicturesMagasin 3 Stockholm Konsthall Frihamnen, SE -115 56 Stockholm www.magasin3.com

The release of the free art apps “Call and response” and “Men That Fall” celebrates Performancexhibition at Magasin 3 for which curator Richard Julin has invited a number of artists to produce work that lands somewhere between performance and exhibition. Call and response by Erik Aalto The art app “Call and response” is an interactive video adaptation of the artwork “The object is performance” (2011) made in connection to Erik Aalto’s exhibition “Antidote” at Magasin 3 as part of Performancexhibition in Spring 2011. The Swedish artist Erik Aalto, perhaps best known as his alter ego Sir Eric Beyond, has been treading the boundaries between performance and music for many years while maintaining his own artistry as Erik Aalto. itunes.apple.com Men That Fall by Performing Pictures Originally inspired by Susan Faludi’s “Stiffed: The Betrayal of the American Man,” this work comments on the radical shift in traditional social values that have left men in a free fall. Performing Pictures consists of Geska Helena Brečević and Robert Brečević – a Stockholm-based artist duo working in the area of moving images and new technologies for media delivery. In their artistic practice, they aspire to create simple and straightforward tales that rely on silent action, a dramatic shift in posture, a certain gesture and a relation between one or several characters. itunes.apple.com PERFORMANCEXHIBITION 10 February–6 March “Antidote” Erik Aalto
