This is an unprecedented exhibition that reunites approximately 150 of the best works of art that once belonged to William Randolph Hearst, the most flamboyant and controversial American art collector of all time. Objects on view include arms and armor, goldsmiths’ work, Renaissance tapestries, as well as the first U.S. showing of a sumptuous mother-of- pearl box from the Louvre that once belonged to King Francis I of France.
