Professorship in fine art with focus on intermedia sonic practices
The position specializes in an intermedia field of art in which sonic practices are set in dialogue with various aspects of contemporary art, including moving image, digital media, sculpture, performance, installation and architecture. Main focus of the professorship is to teach and supervise Fine Art’s students on all levels. The position furthermore includes developing the study program, research, and the public program of the sound studio at the Royal Institute of Art. An important element of the professorship is the post-holder’s own research and artistic development work. This includes participation in the institute’s departmental work, such as contributing to the planning of the study program, participating on the institute’s boards, committees and working groups, and developing the institute’s national and international network.

Professorship in fine art with specialization in the field of drawing/painting in an expanding field
The position specializes in drawing/painting practices set in dialogue with aspects of hybridity and translation of materialities. Main focus of the professorship is to teach and supervise Fine Art’s students on all levels. The position furthermore includes developing the study program, research, and the public program of drawing/painting at the Royal Institute of Art within the 2D area. The employment’s focus on drawing/painting means that you will be responsible for the development of this subject and practice at the Royal Institute of Art. An important element of the position is the post-holder’s own research and artistic development work. The position also includes participation in departmental work at the Royal Institute of Art, such as contributing to the planning of the study program, participating in boards, committees and working groups, and developing the institute’s national and international network.

We place particularly strong emphasis on artistic expertise. The applicant’s artistic practice must be well-documented, independent, individual and of a high level.
