AAF CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR is back for its third year in New York City from October 28 through October 31, 2004 at Pier 92 in Manhattan.

Formerly The Affordable Art Fair, AAF Contemporary Art Fair returns this year with a new name, style, and commitment to both novice and established art collectors. Over 130 galleries will exhibit at AAF NYC this year, with more than a quarter from South America, Canada, and Europe. AAF Contemporary Art Fair launched with phenomenal success in 1999 in London under the name of the Affordable Art Fair and has expanded to six cities worldwide, including New York, Bristol, England, and Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. The latest addition to AAF network will be AAF Contemporary Art Fair San Francisco, which will launch in June 2005. All fairs provide a platform for the seasoned collector, art novice, interior designer, young professional or family to discover and buy original art works represented by emerging and distinguished galleries.

AAF Contemporary Art Fair NYC will feature public programs including a lecture series designed to advise and educate new collectors and first time buyers, children’s workshops and other special exhibitor and visitor services. Visitors are also invited to take advantage of onsite wrapping stations, courtesy of Atelier 4.

A Private Preview Party on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 from 6 to 9 pm will benefit Columbia University School of the Arts Agnes Martin Fellowship Fund, providing fellowships for the School’s young and emerging artists. Tickets can be purchased in advance, or at the door. To purchase Private Preview tickets, please call (212) 255-2003.

The latest addition to the Affordable Art Fair network is the AAF Contemporary Art Fair, San Francisco. The Fair is to be held at the Festival Pavilion at the Fort Mason Center, which is located at the intersection of Marina Boulevard and Buchanan Street in the Marina district and will take place from June 23 through 26, 2005. All works at AAF SF will be priced between $100 and $10,000 dollars, with 75% of the work priced under $5,000.

THE AFFORDABLE ART FAIR LONDON will also return this fall with 130 galleries dealers and studio groups from across the UK and abroad. The fair’s ethos of a relaxed environment and the ceiling price of GBP 2,500, coupled with a huge diversity of art mediums and styles, makes it a must-visit event for anyone wanting to make owning original artwork a reality. The Fair will take place from October 21 through 24, 2004.
