The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) celebrates the talented SAIC students completing their undergraduate and graduate degrees with SAIC Shows. Graduate Exhibition One: March 1–8
The culminating presentation of 67 MFA candidates in SAIC’s class of 2023, and an opportunity students to present new and ambitious work to the public in the SAIC Galleries. Graduate Exhibition One is the first of two graduate exhibitions this spring.

ArtbashMarch 24–April 7
First-year students from the Department of Contemporary Practices exhibit new interdisciplinary art and design works. Students have the opportunity to participate through site-specific proposals, an open call for work, and by faculty selection.

Spring Undergraduate Exhibition: April 7–15
The culminating work of more than 200 graduating seniors, the next generation of artists, scholars, and citizens. It is a living example of the crossing of disciplines and challenging assumptions that SAIC encourages in each student.

MA Art Education Symposium: April 8 & 9
This two-day symposium will feature Master of Arts in Art Education graduate candidates for workshops, presentations and panel discussions on critical pedagogy, community practices, and more.

MA Art History Symposium: May 4
Master of Arts in Art History, Theory, and Criticism thesis presentations with panels and discussions.

Fashion 2023: Intrinsic Being: May 5
A celebration of diverse work across the fashion curriculum.

Film, Video, New Media, Animation, and Sound Festival: May 10–13
Featuring the work of graduate and undergraduate students from the class of 2023.

Graduate Exhibition Two: May 12–21
The second of two graduate exhibitions this spring presents new and ambitious work by more than 100 Master of Fine Arts, Master of Design, Master of Architecture, and Master of Architecture in Interior Architecture candidates.

MFA in Writing Graduate Reading: May 16
Graduating students from the Master of Fine Arts in Writing program read selections from their work. Join for a surprising evening including, but not limited to, fiction, nonfiction, and text off the page. Discover what writing becomes when students adapt the practices of their studio-artist peers.

BFA in Writing Thesis Eeading: May 20
Students graduating from the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing program will read, perform, and otherwise represent their work in traditional as well as hybrid and experimental forms, including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, scripts, electronic media, and performance.

Low-Residency MFA Exhibition: July 8–30
The Low-Residency MFA Exhibition showcases the culminating achievements and new and ambitious work of graduating students in the Low-Residency Master of Fine Arts program.

MAATC Exhibition
Artwork and practices of students graduating with a Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling. The educational aim of this exhibition was to provide an opportunity for students to present their own individual lived practices and collaboratively examine the clinical, ethical, and aesthetic implications of presenting the profession of art therapy through an exhibition. 

Post-baccalaureate Annual
Featuring the work of 14 students completing the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Studio. 

IMPACT Performance Festival
The IMPACT Performance Festival showcased the culminating projects of MFA, BFA, and Post-Baccalaureate certificate students who will activate multiple spaces within the gallery to present immersive and interactive live performances.
