In the Department of Art and Design in the Diploma program in Fine Arts at the HfK, a Professorship for Intermedia Photography (f/m/d): pay grade W 3, Tenured appointment (reference number WP 24/02) is to be awarded.

The University of the Arts is looking for an artist whose outstanding work is characterized by an intermedia approach and makes a significant contribution to international contemporary art. Instruction should include the study of fine art with an emphasis on the medium of photography and related media.

At least one year of teaching experience at a university or comparable institution as well as the ability to convey the development of the fine arts with regard to intermedia are required and must be demonstrated at the time of application.

We are looking for a suitable and qualified candidate with outstanding artistic achievements and several years of successful international exhibition experience in the above-mentioned teaching field as well as teaching experience and pedagogical aptitude to take on a professorship.

Active participation in the further development of the University of the Arts Bremen, collegial cooperation and participation in academic self-administration committees are expected (the official language is German). The professorship requires the presence and dedication of faculty on site at the university. The willingness and ability to teach in German and English is also expected.

In addition, the recruitment requirements according to § 116 of the Bremen Civil Service Act apply. The University of the Arts strives to increase the proportion of women in the artistic-academic field and therefore expressly encourages women to apply.
