On February 14–15, 2026, the University of the Arts (HfK) Bremen invites the public to its annual tour of the open studios, workshops and halls of Speicher XI and Speicher XI A in Bremen. Visitors can expect a vibrant weekend filled with art, design, digital media and music.
Artistic processes and interdisciplinary perspectives
Every year, the Hochschultage at HfK Bremen offer a large audience the unique opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the university and experience all facets of artistic studies. During a tour of open studios, workshops and exhibition rooms, around 5,000 visitors are invited to learn about artistic processes, participate and engage in conversation.
On February 14–15, 2026, students from all study programmes will present their work and projects and show which subjects, influences and working methods shape their artistic creation. The diverse programme of exhibitions, performances, concerts, installations, films, lectures and artistic interventions paints a vivid picture of current developments in art, design, digital media and music at the HfK Bremen. The Hochschultage once again highlight the interdisciplinary profile of the university—joint projects and experimental formats of all departments will give visitors a direct sense of the broad artistic diversity of the HfK Bremen.
University Prizes and final theses set pioneering impulses
During the Hochschultage, special attention is paid to the works of the winners of the University Prize. Their works, which are awarded by an independent jury, represent the outstanding quality and innovative artistic impulses that extend far beyond the HfK Bremen. For the first time, final theses from the Integrated Design programme will be presented to the public as part of the Hochschultage. The projects of the young designers will be on display in a large exhibition in Hall 1 of Speicher XI A.
With the numerous contributions from all study programmes, visitors of the Hochschultage can look forward to a varied and lively programme full of art, design, digital media and music—a special weekend at the HfK Bremen that can be experienced once a year.

Those interested in studying Fine Arts, Integrated Design, Digital Media or Music can take advantage of a wide range of information and advice services at the Hochschultage and talk to representatives in person. Lecturers, students and members of staff will be available to answer questions about the range of studies offered and the application and admission process.

Opening ceremony: Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 12pm, Auditorium, Speicher XI. Welcome by Rector Prof. Dr. Mirjam Boggasch.
