Spring programme 2026

We’re excited to kick off 2026 by sharing what’s ahead! We’re proud to unveil our upcoming programme for the first half year, featuring all our activities running right through to the summer. 

For those who would like to dive into a specific theme for several days, we offer a range of different studios, starting in January with the hands-on Craftivism Workshop: The Stitch, in collaboration with MacGuffin magazine. In March, you can join the three-day studio My Own Public Housing with Common Practice. In April, Protest in the City returns, together with Loom—practice for cultural transformation. In May, we’ll explore the spatial impact of the food industry in the Netherlands in the studio To See the world in a Soybean. In June, we will look at new models for affordable housing and workspaces in Lifehouse—The Case for Community-Led Property Development with City in the Making (Stad in de Maak). 

In addition, we have some great events lined up: Our monthly School’s Out! evening features guests such as artist John Kömerling, landscape architect Robin Winogrond and architect and writer Reinier de Graaf. The last Friday of March will be extra special with our annual Schoolparty with a lecture by Sam Jacob, DJ’s Steve Balearics and Kanjebest, a live band and more! Also coming up is Back to School with…Office Winhov - a series of three evenings on repurposing Post65 collective buildings; the Big Brutal Quiz with Jord den Hollander; and lectures by Júlia Nueno Guitart about her work at Forensic Architecture and by Vikram Prakash on his father’s work in Chandigarh.

Craftivism Workshop: The Stitch
A hands-on embroidery workshop (pulled thread-technique), creating a collective artwork in collaboration with MacGuffin magazine. Tutors: Bart Gorter, Ernst van der Hoeven & Masaki Komoto. Dates: January 30–31. Participation fee: 100 EUR.

My Own Public Housing
A three-day studio with Common Practice exploring alternative approaches to housing design, rethinking how floor plans can better respond to real living needs. Dates: March 6, 7, 13. Participation fee: 200 EUR. Registration deadline: March 1.

Protest in the City
A studio with Loom—Practice for Cultural Transformation, examining public space as a site for protest, regarding activism as a discipline that involves revealing facts, building narratives and creating impact. Dates: April 23, 24, 25 & May 1, 2. Participation fee: 250 EUR.

To See the world in a Soybean
Studio exploring alternative models for concentrated livestock farming and intensive food production, looking at the spatial impact and possible alternative models. Dates: May 5, 16, 22, 23. Participation fee: 250 EUR. More info soon.

Lifehouse—Community-Led Property Development
A studio with City in the Making, exploring unconventional models for developing affordable housing and workspaces, working on an actual case study in Vlaardingen. Dates: June 19, 20, 26, 27.

School’s Out! #55 with John Körmeling
A conversation with the Dutch sculptor and architect John Körmeling, whose playful and critical work spans architecture, design and visual art. Date: Friday, January 30. Tickets 5 EUR.

The Big Brutal Quiz by Jord den Hollander
After a sold-out edition in New York, this interactive quiz explores brutalist architecture on screen, from cult films to contemporary cinema. A night for architects, designers and film lovers alike. Date: Thursday, February 5. Tickets 5 EUR.

School’s Out! #56 with Robin Winogrond
A lecture by Swiss landscape architect Robin Winogrond, about her work that deals with place identity, atmosphere and social engagement. Part of a landscape lecture series curated by Peter Veenstra and Leire Calvillo. Date: Friday, February 27. Tickets 5 EUR.

Public Lecture by Vikram Prakash
A presentation by Vikram Prakash on the work of his father in Chandigarh, repositioning modernism as a global and evolving practice. Date: Friday, March 6.

Workshop & Public Lecture by Júlia Nueno Guitart
On her research at Forensic Architecture, analysing AI systems through spatial evidence and digital mappings. Organised with SocTalk (Erasmus University). Date: Thursday, March 19.

Back To School with… Office Winhov
A series of three evenings on repurposing Post-65 collective buildings, curated by office Winhov

A festive evening with a talk by Sam Jacob, DJs Steve Balearics and Kanjebest, a live punk band, and more. Date: Friday, March 27.

School’s Out! #58 with Reinier de Graaf
A conversation with Reinier de Graaf about his upcoming book, Architecture Against Architecture—a fourteen-point manifesto to bring architecture into the twenty-first century. Date: Friday, April 24.
