Art Brussels returns for its 42nd edition from April 23–26, 2026, bringing together 139 galleries from 26 countries across five sections—Prime, Solo, ’68 Forward, Discovery, and the new Horizons. With a redesigned layout and a more concentrated format, the fair reinforces its commitment to a focused, high-quality visitor experience and a dynamic dialogue between established and emerging practices.
New to this edition, Horizons, with guest curator Devrim Bayar (Senior Curator at KANAL-Centre Pompidou), presents seven large-scale installations conceived as a scenographic parcours within Hall 6. Featuring works by Aglaia Konrad, Elen Braga, Ymen Berhouma, Jacqueline de Jong, Pao Hui Kao, Oswald Oberhuber, and Zuzanna Czebatul, the section foregrounds ambitious artistic proposals beyond the traditional booth format.
The fair’s core sections continue to articulate its identity: Prime brings together 83 galleries presenting modern and contemporary masters alongside established international artists with interesting new returning galleries from Vienna such as Krinzinger, Galerie Elisabeth & Klaus Thoman and Galerie nächst St. Stephan Rosemarie Schwarzwälder; Solo features 26 monographic presentations; ’68 Forward highlights 11 galleries engaging with artistic developments since 1968; and Discovery supports 38 galleries presenting emerging artists through curated dialogues and solo presentations.
Artistic projects unfold throughout the fair. Visitors are welcomed by a site-specific entrance installation by Natasja Mabesoone (Gallery Sofie Van de Velde). In the Stibbe Lounge, Not Everything is for Sale, with guest curator Bernard Marcelis, presents 15 Belgium-based gallerists selecting an artwork they would never part with. Delen Private Bank presents A Belgian Paradox: Pure Forms, Raw Matters, exploring dialogues between postwar abstraction and contemporary Belgian art.
Maison Ruinart continues its Conversations with Nature series with a carte blanche for Tadashi Kawamata, while the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles presents États d’espace, an immersive project by Bertrand Cavalier curated by Olivier Grasser.
The KickCancer Collection returns for its fourth edition, with postcard-sized works sold anonymously in support of the KickCancer Foundation, and a special selection curated by Albert Baronian.
New this year, the Art Advisory Desk offers visitors personalised guidance from professional advisors, supporting both new and experienced collectors. An extensive Talks Programme runs throughout the fair, with daily conversations, book launches, and presentations bringing together artists, curators, collectors, and art world professionals.
With its refined format and expanded programme, Art Brussels 2026 continues to position itself as a key platform for contemporary art in Europe.
