Sonsbeek 2026 continues into fall with a dynamic public program as part of its one-hundred-day exhibition Ik hoef geen tuin, ik deel een park (I don't need a backyard, I share a park).

Sonsbeek 2026 public program: Spiral Movements
Developed in collaboration with Hartwig Art Foundation, Radboud University, and Rozet, Spiral Movements brings together artists, researchers, and audiences around questions of memory, public space, and common futures. The program unfolds through Artist Spotlight talks and walks, weekly guided tours, film screenings at Focus Filmtheater, listening sessions, workshops, and performances.
Hartwig Art Foundation and Sonsbeek art projects: The Curved Times of Memory (What Would I Do in Orbit?)
Hartwig Art Foundation and Sonsbeek present a special two-day program on September 5 and 6 at Hartwig Proxy in Amsterdam and in Arnhem. It starts with a film program at Hartwig Proxy, with Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven, Korakrit Arunanondchai, Larry Achiampong, and Jota Mombaça, from August 19 through September 6.
On Saturday, September 5, Hartwig Proxy hosts a writing workshop by Loesje and a choir workshop led by Jota Mombaça and Fieke Westland. The following day, on Sunday, September 6, a bus travels from Amsterdam to Arnhem to visit Park Sonsbeek and partner institutions, including an Artist Spotlight talk and poster launch with Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven, as well as a performance by Jota Mombaça and the ArtEZ choir.
Sonsbeek 2026: Sites of Memory, a Symposium by Radboud University and Sonsbeek art projects, presented in partnership with Rozet
On Thursday, September 10, the Dutch premiere of Forensic Architecture and Earshot's latest film, The Last Responders, will be hosted at partner institution POST, where Forensic Architecture’s presentation is also on view. The screening will be accompanied by an introduction and Q&A with Forensic Architecture’s Advanced Researcher Elliot Bourne, who worked on the film.
The following day, on Friday, September 11, the question of how memory can resist erasure and help us imagine different futures takes centre stage at Sites of Memory. The symposium brings together scholars and participating Sonsbeek artists—including Forensic Architecture and Femke Herregraven—to consider how practices of remembering can respond to colonial, ecological, and gendered violence. The program also includes a screening of Jumana Manna's A Sketch of Manners (2013).

Sonsbeek 2026 concludes on Sunday October 11, marking the end of its one-hundred-day exhibition. Visitors are invited to join a festive closing day including an Artist Spotlight Talk with Larry Achiampong at Museum Bronbeek.
The day culminates with Spiraling Out around Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven’s Mystic Hexagram flower carpet. After one hundred days of care by volunteers, gardeners, and residents, visitors are welcome to take the plants home, carrying a living memory of Sonsbeek 2026 with them—continuing the cycle of growth and withering.
