Final days to apply for scholarships for the Advanced Program in Contemporary Public Art.

Accademia Unidee – Fondazione Pistoletto announces the extension of the application deadline for its international scholarship program supporting participation in the Advanced Program in Contemporary Public Art, beginning in October 2026.

Due to the extraordinary number of applications received from artists and cultural practitioners worldwide, the deadline for the full scholarship opportunities has been extended until June 30, 2026, allowing additional candidates to apply.

The Advanced Program in Contemporary Public Art is a one-year postgraduate educational experience designed for artists seeking to deepen their artistic research while exploring the role of art as a catalyst for social transformation. Based in Accademia Unidee, a reality founded at Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto in Biella, Italy, the program combines artistic practice, critical theory, project-based learning, and direct engagement with communities, institutions, and social contexts.

Founded by Michelangelo Pistoletto, Cittadellarte has spent more than twenty-five years developing artistic methodologies that connect creativity with social responsibility. Within this unique environment, participants are invited to expand their artistic language, develop context-based projects, and engage with some of the most pressing cultural, social, and ecological questions of our time.

The advanced program is taught entirely in English and welcomes participants from diverse disciplinary backgrounds. Through intensive workshops, studio practice, seminars, mentoring sessions, and collaborative projects, students develop an individual artistic trajectory while becoming part of an international network of artists, curators, researchers, and cultural organizations.

Each participant is provided with a personal studio space throughout the academic year, enabling continuous artistic development within the broader ecosystem of Cittadellarte. The campus offers direct access to exhibitions, workshops, archives, public programs, and a vibrant international artistic community.

For the 2026–2027 edition, Accademia Unidee offers nine scholarship opportunities covering tuition fees in full or in part.

Three full scholarships covering 100% of tuition fees and including accommodation in a single room are available for candidates from Asia, Latin America, and Brazil: Asia Scholarship, Latin America Scholarship, Brazil Scholarship.

In response to the exceptional international interest generated by these opportunities, the application deadline for these scholarships has been extended to June 30, 2026.

In addition, six partial scholarships covering 75 percent of tuition fees are available: Four European Scholarship Program awards for applicants residing in Europe, Two Italian Scholarship Program awards for applicants residing in Italy.

The Advanced Program begins in October 2026 and concludes in June 2027. Upon successful completion, participants receive an Advanced Certificate in Contemporary Public Art issued by Accademia Unidee—Fondazione Pistoletto.

Artists interested in socially engaged practices, public art, community-based projects, ecological approaches, participatory methodologies, and experimental forms of artistic research are encouraged to apply.

Applications and scholarship requests must be submitted by June 30, 2026. Program information: here. Program brochure: here. For further information: enrollment@accademiaunidee.it.
