The KABK announces its new podcast as well as the open day and online Q&A sessions for master’s programmes in Art & Design.

The Royal Academy of Art The Hague (KABK) premieres its new podcast series Tuning into Research. In each episode Alice Twemlow, Design Lector at the KABK and Associate Professor at Leiden’s University’s Academy of Creative and Performing Arts (ACPA), talks to graduates of the master’s programmes focusing in on the threads of research that are interwoven in their graduation project. The podcasts are now available on the KABK website as well as on Spotify.

In conversations with master’s graduates, Tuning into Research provides interesting insights in their graduation projects. Seven graduate students talk about their research methods, urgencies, processes, attitudes, and dilemmas that informed and shaped their projects. Hear from these emerging artists and designers about why, when, and how they have engaged with research and to what extent they expect it to be part of their post-graduation practices.

Open day and online Q&A sessions
Would you like to explore how artistic research can enrich your work? The KABK offers seven master’s programmes all of which last two-years, except for Type and Media (one-year programme). Find out more about the programmes during the KABK open day on Saturday, November 25, 10–4pm (CET). Attend online or at the academy.

Each department offers two or three online Q&A sessions on November 25. You will get the opportunity to talk to students to ask your questions and find out about their experiences at the KABK and in The Hague. During these sessions you will be able to take a sneak peek into our facilities, ask your practical questions about our application procedure, student finance, accommodation, residence permits and everything else you need to know about studying at the KABK.

You can also visit the academy in The Hague (the Netherlands) on November 25. Take a tour through the academy, talk to teachers and students and listen to alums telling about their practices.
