Fall 2025 public program

MIT Architecture is pleased to announce our fall 2025 public programs; a continuing conversation on where we are now, centered on our department’s convergence of design practice and research. 

This semester, under the theme “Scales of Architecture”, MIT Architecture will explore pavilion design; science and the state in Postcolonial India; documentaries on care and speculative urbanism; hedonistic sustainability, and spatial geometry. At each event, we invite in-person visitors and remote audiences to share and question how architecture makes, and changes, the world. 

This series is a collaboration between the faculty, staff, and students of MIT’s Department of Architecture, which includes architects, designers, urbanists, film makers, historians, critics, theorists, artists, social entrepreneurs, and experts in computation and building technology. 

Alongside these academic programs and public events, student- and faculty-run exhibits, publications and platforms expand our agenda. Fall 2025 features an exhibition in our Keller Gallery highlighting a multi-year cycle of research at MIT on enclosure, undertaken by Matteo Ghidoni as a visiting lecturer.
