Working Together

The MIT Department of Architecture invites you to join us for our fall 2026 public lecture program; a continuing conversation on urgent topics that define our moment, centered on our department’s convergence of practice, design, and research.
On the occasion of moving to our new home in the MET Warehouse and reimagining working with one another, and with our colleagues across MIT’s School of Architecture and Planning (SA+P), we have structured our public events around the theme of “Working Together.” This year, we will explore dialogic, collective, cooperative, and co-adaptive forms of architectural and landscape practices, research, curatorial, and historical work. At each event, we invite in-person visitors and remote audiences to share and question the ways that architecture frames, constructs, and changes the world.
This series is a collaboration between the faculty, staff, and students of MIT’s Department of Architecture, which includes architects, designers, urbanists, filmmakers, historians, critics, theorists, artists, social entrepreneurs, and experts in computation and building technology. Alongside the academic programs and public events, student- and faculty-run exhibitions, publications, and platforms expand our agenda.
Our exhibitions this year will take the form of both pop-up presentations of our own current pedagogical projects, and of curated work by our friends and interlocutors. All are welcome to visit the Architecture Gallery on the third floor of the MET Warehouse.
Events are held in-person on the ground floor of the Sidara Auditorium (W41-1216) and streamed on our YouTube channel. We invite you to explore the full public program below and find more details including links to webcasts on our events calendar. Learn more at architecture.mit.edu.
