Josh Faught: The California Studio

Josh Faught creates sculptures that use traditional textile and homespun techniques, such as loom-weaving, knitting, and crocheting, to explore craft traditions, queer culture, and personal history. Faught is the fall quarter visiting professor in The California Studio: Manetti Shrem Artist Residencies.
Anne Ellegood: The California Studio

Anne Ellegood has been a curator of contemporary art for over twenty-five years. Since September 2019, she has been the Executive Director of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (ICA LA). Ellegood is the fall quarter curator in residence in The California Studio: Manetti Shrem Artist Residencies.

The Maria Manetti Shrem Art Studio Program at UC Davis challenges students to cultivate curiosity and sustain the courage to embrace the unknown through art. Art students at the undergraduate and graduate level are encouraged to explore a broad range of disciplines and to participate in opportunities outside the classroom, including The California Studio: Manetti Shrem Artist Residencies, the Betty Jean and Wayne Thiebaud Lecture, the Visiting Artist Lecture Series, professional practice seminars, student exhibitions, competitions and internships.
