Professor of Painting for The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts’ Schools of Visual Arts
The Schools of Visual Arts at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts are looking for a dedicated artist to take on a professorship in painting and pictorial practices at the School of Painting. The successful applicant will commence work on September 1, 2017.
The School of Painting constitutes our specialist programme on painting and pictorial practices and is one of four international MFA programmes at the schools.
The School of Painting focuses on painting and pictorial practices, taking its starting point in the evolution of painting in the 20th and 21st centuries and in our present-day pluralistic approach to painting. The School of Painting is primarily supported by the laboratories for graphic art, painting and colour.
The School of Painting will accommodate approximately 25 students on its three-year MFA programme. The school is housed at Charlottenborg, where the students have their studios and where parts of the teaching will take place.

Professor of Conceptual and Contextual Practices for The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts’ Schools of Visual Arts
The Schools of Visual Arts at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts are looking for a dedicated artist to take on a professorship in conceptual and contextual practices for a new MFA programme at the Schools of Visual Arts. The successful applicant will commence work on September 1, 2017.
The new programme constitutes one of four international MFA programmes at the schools. The programme focuses on contextual and discursive practices with a particular interest in social, performative and critical art forms within contemporary art.
The new programme merges two existing programmes (The School of Walls and Space and the School of Language, Space and Scale)
The new school/programme will accommodate approximately 25 students on its three-year MFA programme. The School will be housed at Charlottenborg, where the students have their studios and where parts of the teaching will take place.
