The ICP-Bard MFA Program in Advanced Photographic Studies offers a rigorous exploration of all facets of photography through an integrated curriculum of studio and professional practice, critical study, and Resident Artist Projects. Visionary candidates join an international community of artists and educators. Students enrolled in the program participate in every aspect of creating, analyzing, and distributing images including curating exhibitions, publishing books, and organizing symposia and conferences. More than just an introduction to the art world, the program is an immersion in all aspects of today’s visual culture.

A one-day symposium jointly organized by the students of the ICP-Bard MFA program and the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College. Our students welcome graduate students in the New York Metro Area and beyond to come to the School of the International Center of Photography on Saturday, December 14. Under discussion: Building a new art world; staying sane post-MFA; and repositioning artists to the center of the “art world.”
