Deadline March 22
July 8–28, 2012
College PreView at Columbus College of Art & Design offers high school students an exhilarating on-campus experience. Students immerse themselves in the creative community of our campus and our city—and plug into a whole new network of talented young people from across the country.
For three intensive weeks, students live in our residence halls, take classes with our faculty, work in our studios and labs, meet professional artists, exhibit their work, and explore Columbus and its art scene. Every participant receives one-on-one portfolio advice that increases success with college admissions and scholarship competitions.
College PreView’s curriculum consists of six core courses and one elective (chosen from seven options.) These courses are supplemented by lectures by practicing artists, group outings, extra studio time, and planned leisure activities.
Faculty
All courses are taught by CCAD’s faculty. They are supported by current CCAD students, which means you have a great opportunity to find out more about art school from a student’s point of view. Professional artists and designers give lectures and facilitate special sessions and workshops.
College Credit
Students who attend all classes, successfully complete all assignments, and earn a C or better are granted three college credits.
