The Visual Arts Department of the Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University seeks an accomplished painter to join our faculty. Responsibilities include: teaching undergraduate painting at all levels and studio practice and critical seminar in our interdisciplinary graduate program; assisting in the recruitment of BFA and graduate students; mentoring graduate painting TAs; participating in departmental life including with curriculum development and committee work, and serving school-wide and university needs while maintaining a high level of professional activity and scholarly research.

 

Qualifications:
National and international profile with evident professional recognition
Minimum three years or equivalent of full-time teaching at university level
M.F.A. degree in Art

Rank: Assistant Professor/Tenure track
Salary: Appropriate to rank and qualifications
Starting date: September 1, 2012

 

Deadline: January 9, 2012
