Graduates from the Royal College of Art join an international network of influential individuals who have shaped, and who continue to shape, the culture surrounding us.
If you are interested a pursuing a successful career in Curating Contemporary Art, History of Design or Critical Writing in Art & Design, the world’s leading postgraduate university of art and design offers a programme designed especially to give you the skills and knowledge you need.
Located in the heart of London, the RCA is home to just over 1,000 talented Masters’ and research students from all over the world. Based in the School of Humanities, you will have the opportunity to work with leading academics, critics and writers. Uniquely, you will also work alongside artists and designers from other RCA programmes across fine art, design and communications.
Interviews will be held in March. Applications are encouraged from anyone with a good undergraduate degree in a humanities/arts subject (including studio courses in art and design). Please join us for one of our upcoming Open Days, or email us to arrange a conversation with a tutor.
In 2011/12 the College will allocate more than 2.9 GBP million in bursaries to eligible students towards fees and the costs of living in London. These bursaries are available on a competitive basis.
Curating Contemporary Art – Established in 1992, the programme specialises in curatorial theory and practice, offering access to the knowledge and skills that enable graduates to pursue careers as critically aware curators.

Critical Writing in Art & Design – A new MA programme launched in 2010 to produce skilled writers, who are expert in different aspects of contemporary art and design and possess a thorough understanding of the media.

RCA/V&A History of Design – The leading MA programme in its field, taught in conjunction with the Victoria and Albert Museum. Students follow one of three specialist pathways: Renaissance, Asian and Modern.
