Whether your passion is photography, painting, design, film or art history, the School of Visual Arts (SVA) has a program to stimulate your senses, reinvigorate your career, and open new directions in your art making. As designer Elizabeth Morrow McKenzie says of her experience on the Masters Workshop for Design History, Theory and Practice in Venice and Rome, “I loved having that time to just focus on design without the pressures of clients and deadlines.”
Programs are designed with college students, educators and working professionals in mind; college credit is available for those who qualify. “Some people will arrive with ideas, and some people will discover new ones,” says Abby Robinson, instructor for the Digital Photography Residency in Shanghai. “But whatever their style of working, and whatever their interests, they’ll come away with something.”
