The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art plans to develop and expand its public programs, presenting new strands of talks, debates, films and performances. Our aim is to establish a range of programs that present major intellectual and cultural work, international in scope, to a broad public in the Bay Area. To conceive and deliver these programs SFMOMA seeks an exceptional candidate for the new post of Associate Curator, Public Programs.
The Associate Curator will devise a curatorial remit for public programs; collaborate with artists, writers, academics, performers and other participants; and build partnerships with educational and cultural organizations locally, nationally and internationally.
The successful candidate will have an outstanding knowledge of modern and contemporary art as well as wider debates about culture and society. Experience in curating film or performance art is especially desirable. For a detailed position description and to apply online please visit:
