Applications are open for entry to our postgraduate master’s degrees starting in September 2017:
MA Fine Art
The aim of the course is to examine and critically engage with art making. It is designed to stimulate and influence you to develop an independent artistic language through ambitious and disciplined studio practice. The course structure facilitates and actively supports a broad range of activities (from painting to live art) with the aim of questioning and articulating historical and contemporary art contexts and practices.
The MA Fine Art is studio based, supported by excellent facilities and workshops and taught by nationally and internationally renowned practitioners whose experience and knowledge of the subject facilitates a dynamic, dialogue-based learning environment.
MA Fine ArtMA Fine ArtMA Visual Communication
MA Visual Communication is a practice based course for specialists. It focuses on the distinct yet related strands of Photography, Illustration and Graphic Design; encouraging students to collaborate in examining the connection between each discipline and its shared visual language. In consultation with tutors, students develop their work individually and in conjunction with others. This approach provides a professional and a conceptual context for practice. The final portfolio shows evidence of this ability and control. Students will be able to present it with confidence when they finish the course and enter the work place, or continue with study.

Other contemporary venues the course interacts with include Spike Island, Bristol; Arnolfini, Bristol and the new Hauser And Wirth Gallery, Somerset.
