Art Toronto is proud to announce the participating galleries for 2017. The 18th edition of Canada’s fair for modern and contemporary art will include 95 galleries from 8 countries and 29 cities. The fair will be arranged in four sections: Verge, Main, Solo and Focus. Full list of galleries available here.

Verge
This section is dedicated to galleries that have been in business for eight years or less, presenting work by young and emerging artists made in the past five years.
Main
This established section includes more than seventy premier modern and contemporary galleries from Canada, the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, Argentina, Peru and Israel.

Solo
Introduced in 2015, the SOLO section includes twelve galleries, each presenting a highly-curated body of work by a single artist.

Focus
The 2017 edition will have a west coast focus on Los Angeles. Curator Santi Vernetti will bring top galleries from LA to showcase the city’s complex cultural landscape. The central group exhibition entitled And The Sky is Grey brings together works by LAs most exciting practitioners to help introduce new audiences in order to unpack and highlight contemporary cultural practices in the city and what compels people to it.

There will be 10 new galleries including: Franc Gallery (Vancouver), Galerie 3 (Quebec City), Jessica Silverman Gallery (San Francisco), L’INCONNUE (Montreal), Macaulay & Co. Fine Art (Vancouver), Jarvis Hall Gallery (Calgary), Mindy Solomon Gallery (Miami), Dillon + Lee (New York), Downs & Ross (New York)

The FOCUS: Los Angeles galleries are: Club Pro Los Angeles, Anat Ebgi, Luis De Jesus Los Angeles, ltd los angeles, Moskowitz Bayse, Night Gallery, Royale Projects: Contemporary Art

There are 87 galleries returning including: Monte Clark Gallery (Vancouver), Corkin Gallery (Toronto), Daniel Faria Gallery (Toronto), Cristin Tierney Gallery (New York), Susan Hobbs Gallery (Toronto) *, Catriona Jeffries (Vancouver) *, Josée Bienvenu Gallery (New York), Olga Korper Gallery (Toronto), Pierre-Fran çois Ouellette art contemporain (Montréal and Toronto), Parisian Laundry (Montreal), CYDONIA (Fort Worth), Hollis Taggart Gallery (New York)


Art Toronto will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from October 27 to 30, 2017. The Opening Night Preview is on October 26 and is a benefit gala for the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO).
