Centrale for contemporary art
Place Sainte-Catherine 44
1000 Brussels
BXL UNIVERSEL is a subjective portrait of the Belgian and European capital. An original and disconcerting project which celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Centrale, the art center founded by the City of Brussels in a former power station.
BXL UNIVERSEL is a story where opposites meet, sensibilities collide, humor and gravity interact in a celebratory structure. The Brussels spirit is evoked through archival documents, films, photographs and original creations of artists who live and work there. The project helps to identify the diversity and uniqueness of this multilingual city.
