Barbed Magazine is pleased to announce its latest call for submissions to be considered for issue #04, debuting in the city of Detroit, Michigan.
Barbed Magazine explores new works and artists with special emphasis on those working on relational and confessional art, in mixed media, documentation, process, and residual art. Artists are encouraged to submit works that have not been published before and which have been produced within the last two years. Please note, Barbed will give priority to artists living in the Detroit-Canada Border area. All work will be considered.
Barbed magazine is printed twice a year and is gratefully supported through local ads. Those artists selected for issue #04 will receive complimentary hard and digital copies. Barbed is working towards a sustainable business plan to ensure artists’ fees in the future.
Instructions:
Please submit 1–5 images of your work along with a brief statement of 150–300 words.

Please do not send original artwork when using the mail option as damage can occur during or after the process. If you wish to have your artwork returned, please include a self-addressed envelope with sufficient stamps.
