Building on the successful first edition, Chicago’s Navy Pier will once again host EXPO CHICAGO, the International Exposition of Contemporary and Modern Art, September 19–22, 2013. EXPO CHICAGO will maintain its ardent commitment to quality by limiting the number of participating galleries. With over 27,000 visitors in its inaugural year, the exposition is poised to draw an even larger crowd of top collectors, curators and art enthusiasts with increased support from regional and international institutions and partners. Critically acclaimed special programming, such as Dialogues and IN/SITU, will also return after a successful first installment.
EXPO CHICAGO is currently accepting applications for EXPO CHICAGO/2013 and EXPOSURE. Each application is thoroughly reviewed by the Selection Committee for compliance with quality of artwork and unique booth proposals.
EXPOSURE is an important component of the fair as it affords twenty younger galleries, in business for up to seven years, the opportunity to participate in a major international art fair. A special presentation of one or two artists by each of the participating galleries provides critical exposure for their programs, offering an important opportunity for curators, collectors and art enthusiasts to survey the best in innovative and emerging work. The booths are 200 square feet and have a reduced rate.
