The KAP Website is designed to present a series of virtual exhibition spaces of participating artists; its virtual solo exhibitions are curated by a number of curators from private art museums nationwide. VR (Virtual Reality) system provides a three-dimensional display space, allowing Website visitors to explore and simulate an exhibition. Through this effective and informative Website, users worldwide are able to enjoy the vivid virtual exhibitions and meet a variety of Korean contemporary artists wherever and whenever they want beyond national boundaries.

Participating museums include
Art Museum of Woo Jae Gil, Coreana Museum of Art, Space*C, Cyan Museum of Art, Daesan Art Museum, Dangrim Art Museum, Gail Art Museum, Hankuk Art Museum, Hello Museum, Kumho Museum of Art, Mudeung Museum of Contemporary Art, Nampo Art Gallery, Savina Museum of Contemporary Art, Shin Museum of Art, Space Mom Museum of Art, The Artsonje Center, The Museum of Photography, Seoul

Selecting process of KAP artists
Regarding the selection process of KAP artists, they were selected by a number of curators from 19 Korean art museums and then juried by Korean and international art critics. The judging committee is comprised of six domestic and eight international art and cultural leaders.

Dynamic open-source digital archiving system
The open-Source digital archiving system handles large collections of artworks by participating artists and artists’ information including biographies, artist and critic notes. The Website users also can see vivid interviews of each participating artist. Through the interviews, the users are able to get insight into the artist’s world as well as their works’ intentions. For each artist interview, the KAP team has visited their ateliers to produce and create the interview videos.

Improving accessibility to Korean contemporary art
Through the timeline calendar located on the main page, the KAP Website shares information on KAP artists’ exhibition news with the users. Furthermore, the latest relevant Korean contemporary art news and related information keep the website users up to date through the “What’s On” page. In order to increase accessibility for all international Website users, KAP strives to connect to social networking services such as Facebook, Twitter, mobile applications, and Google to globally promote and share our Project with people worldwide as an online marketing strategy.
