Now on artnet: Art Basel online!

June 17th to August 17th 2007 at http://www.artbasel-artnet.com

Two of the most influential forces in the art market, Art Basel and artnet, have joined in an exclusive partnership, combining all of their individual strengths into one unique service: The Art Basel online!

Missed the fair? Want to revisit the show? Still thinking of the one art work you didn’t buy?

Art Basel’s around 5,000 art works are available for two additional months on artnet. Collectors interested in Art Basel can now benefit from the extension of the fair, as well as from artnet’s worldwide accessibility.

For the first time in the history of Art Basel visitors have the opportunity to locate art works on an interactive floor plan and contact the respective dealers. Even collectors who were not able to attend can now experience the fair as well as the art works which were exhibited — and they can do it from all over the world. The site allows visitors to search by artists as well as by galleries, both alphabetically and by fair sections (as, for example, within Art Unlimited).

This new service is an exclusive agreement with Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach.

Art Basel@artnet runs from June 17th to August 17th 2007 at:

artnet is the leading Internet platform for the international art trade. We give collectors access to goings-on in the market and provide for transparency in pricing and dealing. The artnet Price Database, with its more than 3 million auction results, enables collectors to verify the value of art works, their gains and price developments. As the first online provider for the art market, artnet, with its ever-increasing offers, has been bringing collectors and art professionals in contact with more than 1,700 galleries worldwide. Our artnet Market Trends financial products include graphs and indices for over 4,000 leading artists, and estimate reports which provide valuations for unique fine art objects. The American and German artnet Magazines keep you informed about the market, exhibitions and the latest developments. The artnet Market Alert notifies you by e-mail as soon as art works by your favourite artists become available.
