IACCCA announces affiliation with ICOM
IACCCA is pleased to announce that it has become an affiliated organization of ICOM. In this capacity, IACCCA will join the existing 18 affiliates and participate in ICOM’s activities. It will also contribute to the influence of ICOM and its network.
IACCCA and ICOM represent a global community bringing together corporate collections and museums. Their main concern is the enrichment and enhancement of artworks in art collections. Both organizations offer a forum of exchange for experts and art professionals on matters related to collecting, preserving, and enhancing works which in due course will constitute cultural heritage.
Aline Pujo, Chair of IACCCA stated: “This is a breakthrough for the visibility, legitimacy and sustainability of corporate art collections. It also recognises and catalyses our complementary knowledge, experience and expertise in the field of contemporary art. We are delighted to become an affiliated organisation of ICOM, and are very grateful to both Julien Anfruns and the Board of ICOM.”
Julien Anfruns, Director General of ICOM, added: “The sectorial knowledge of IACCCA members and its curators will also benefit ICOM. We will be able to leverage skill sets and expertise through pooled activities and reflect on mutually enriching subjects.”
This collaboration will benefit the contemporary art scene worldwide and the profession as a whole.

About IACCCA
IACCCA brings together some 40 curators of corporate art collections in order to reflect on the specificities of individual collections. IACCCA is a platform for the curators to share best practice and insights on challenges and opportunities facing corporate collectors (e.g. staff buy-in and employee engagement and education, legitimacy in times of crisis, positioning within corporate social responsibility…).
Initiatives include privileged exposure to other collections and collectors’ expertise, reciprocal visits of collections’ storage facilities, networking amongst a peer group, and strengthening communications power. There are also highly valuable technical sessions to share specialist expertise (e.g. on conservation and restoration issues, relations with stakeholders…).
