Danh Vō profiled: ArtReview talks to the award-winning artist whose work is a romantic mix of personal history and universal politics, ahead of his forthcoming exhibitions at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris and the Venice Biennale. By Laura McLean-Ferris.

FOS interviewed: ‘My practice has been like this: you are alone, another person enters and a third thing happens—a situation.’ Danish artist FOS (Thomas Poulsen) has created sculptures, lamps and costumes, been in bands and conducted an orchestra, designed furniture for a men’s hostel in Copenhagen and made an ice-cream stand from the detritus of an art fair, all in his own distinctive style. He talks to Mark Sladen for ArtReview.

Marie-Louise Ekman explored: Curator and critic Maria Lind explores the unique take on theatricality in the often topsy-turvy work of Swedish artist and director Marie-Louise Ekman.

Artist Project: Hans-Peter Feldmann, Stamps: Paintings with Nudes: The artist populates ArtReview with works by Rubens, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec, Bonnard and a host of others as he shows 150 of his postage stamps from around the world featuring designs based on historical paintings of nudes.

City Focus: New York: In the first of a two-part focus on New York’s evolving, post-Sandy contemporary art scene, ArtReview takes a look at the latest gallery developments in Chelsea, on the Upper East Side and in the outer boroughs. With galleries catering to a variety of scales, tastes and business models, there’s plenty to suggest that art still thrives at the Big Apple’s core. By David Everitt Howe, photography by Frances F. Denny.

Plus…
