This year the Paris Photo Platform features 4 days of conferences directed by Roxana Marcoci, Curator of Photography at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, with the special contribution of Paul Holdengräber, Director of LIVE from The New York Public Library.
Structured as an experimental platform for critical discussions, the Paris Photo Platform engages in dynamic and robust debates about the expanded field and perspectives of photography. Participants feature an international roster of leading artists, architects, filmmakers, cultural historians, and theorists in the field exchanging ideas on the relational contexts in which photography operates today.

Thursday, November 15

Artists Hilla Becher and Thomas Ruff discuss with Christopher Phillips, Curator, The International Center of Photography, New York the emergence of the new Düsseldorf photography movement and its transatlantic relationship with contemporary American artists. Discussion moderated by Roxana Marcoci.

Discussion moderated by Roxana Marcoci.

About Paris Photo 2012
For its 16th edition, Paris Photo will welcome in November, beneath the nave of the Grand Palais, 151 exhibitors (128 galleries and 23 publishers) coming from 22 countries, bearing witness to the vitality of the international photographic scene. This year, 36 new galleries are joining the Fair.
