Art Platform—Los Angeles is pleased to announce that the highly anticipated second edition of the fair will launch Thursday, September 27 with a VIP reception and run through Sunday, September 30, 2012. Join us as we continue to offer unprecedented access to the modern and contemporary art that makes Los Angeles a leading center for cultural production.
Art Platform—Los Angeles is now accepting applications for the 2012 edition of the fair. Our inaugural year welcomed over 12,000 visitors and 4,000 VIPs from the around the world including museum trustees, curators and the leading collectors. Our stellar VIP program, solo artist projects, speaker series, and non-profit participation, helped foster an environment conducive to the exchange of ideas and art to the benefit of both exhibitors and collectors . The success of Art Platform—Los Angeles’ inaugural year and The Getty’s initiative, Pacific Standard Time: Art in LA, 1945-1980, demonstrated that Los Angeles is one of the world’s great art capitals. More and more, influential artists, museums, curators, galleries, schools, and collectors call Los Angeles home. Our inaugural edition featured partnerships with Los Angeles’ most influential people and organizations including The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, The Hammer Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Getty’s initiative, Pacific Standard Time, and numerous non-profits.
