In complex times, we wonder what to do in public space for the MEXTRÓPOLI 2021 pavilion

In this edition of the Arquine competition, you are not looking for a pavilion. For the edition of the MEXTRÓPOLI 2021 Architecture and City festival, we invite you to speculate on new ways of using public space. We know that the pandemic has changed and will continue to change ways of life, but how will it change?
This call aims to rethink the use and occupation of the urban environment, to propose the spaces in which we can meet again and celebrate the city. Put aside the design of a limited, delimited, perhaps closed or roofed space to think about activations, prosthetics, artifacts, perhaps an application on your smartphone, or an ephemeral installation.
Architects, designers, urban planners, sociologists, architecture students and / or the like from all over the world can participate, individually or as a team. Teams can include members of any discipline, even if it is suggested that one of the members be an architect.
It is not necessary to have some kind of registration from the professional association of the country of origin to participate.
To make your registration effective, you must contribute a single fee, which can be done in one of the two registration stages:
First stage of registration
From August 17 to October 19, 2020:
MXN 250 (Mexico) or USD 60 dollars (International)
Second stage of registration
From October 20, 2020 to January 4, 2021
MXN 1,500 (Mexico) or USD 75 dollars (International)
The Arquine Competition No.23 is called by Arquine, who will have the responsibility of organizing the technical-administrative information prior and after the development of the contest, knowing the queries made by the participants and giving the corresponding answers, taking into account the provisions of these bases, write the minutes of the plenary meeting of the Jury and the award minutes, as well as all the actions for the proper development of this contest.
