RUMBLE
Spring 2021
RUMBLE marks the culmination of the academic year at UCLA. Across multiple events and platforms, faculty and students engage the broader architecture and urban design communities in conversations about the future of design and the built environment.
At AUD, this is an opportunity to discuss projects within a larger context of contemporary ideas, discourses, and the world challenges that involve design and space-making practices. These discussions reveal how the questions that motivate our community have matured and developed through the work of our students and the collective stewardship of our faculty.
This year, through a virtual format, we are excited to present the impressive work from our M.Arch., M.S.AUD, and Undergraduate programs. Visit the RUMBLE 2021 website to explore featured student work.
More about UCLA Architecture and Urban Design:
UCLA Architecture and Urban Design is a champion of design ideas and their various manifestations in a changing environment. Our exceptional faculty teach students to engage the world around them, to see productive forms of response, and to leverage design and writing as expressions of newly curated perspectives.
Through rigorous inquiry, we interrogate contemporary architectural and urban issues and propose possible futures with equal measures of expertise, optimism, and vision. These ideas are grounded in a critical engagement with the history and theory of architecture and the future contingencies of contemporary culture.
