ARCOmadrid returns to its usual date to celebrate its 40 (+1) anniversary from February 23 to 27. A unique project set to bring past and future together through the galleries and their essential relationship with artists and collectors.
Following the exceptional 2021 edition that reactivated the long-awaited encounters between galleries and collectors, ARCOmadrid 2022 definitively emerges as a one-of-a-kind event and a moment of celebration, that will bring together a selection of big names from the international gallery scene, galleries that have been present at ARCOmadrid throughout its history, and will be invited to participate in the fair’s commemorative section, ARCO 40 (+1).
This tribute to the Fair will take place parallel to the contents presented by the galleries selected by the Organising Committee in the General Programme, and the participants in the curated sections.
The traditional and well-known ARCOmadrid Forum, to take place in a hybrid format in this edition, will be a hub of research under the guidance of curators and professionals homing in on the present and future of contemporary art.
The different actions set in motion by Fundación ARCO to promote contemporary art collecting will complete the Fair. Along with the guest collectors programme, the work of collectors will once again be distinguished through the ‘A’ Awards and other initiatives aimed to impulse collecting.
All interested galleries may present their application to participate until October 18.
