Design Writing & Research Summer Intensive

Looking to sharpen your writing and research skills this summer? Join us from anywhere in the world for the latest iteration of our online, two-week Summer Intensive, designed to hone your non-fiction storytelling and help you build a diverse portfolio of writing under the guidance of our talented faculty and guest critics. 

Clear thinking, deep research, and engaging expression are vital to a contemporary designer’s toolkit. For creative professionals, this program offers methods and insights for understanding and writing compellingly about images, objects and spaces. For practicing designers, this is a chance to examine the profession and its impact through writing and publishing.

Each day students have lectures and seminars with instructors, real-time workshops with other participants, and independent research and writing assignments. By the end of the program, participants will have completed several pieces of writing, formulated ideas for stories, and garnered a robust set of tools for writing about design with confidence.
