A featured symposium in the Identity of the Artist lecture series

6: 30pm cocktails, 7:00pm symposium

Jordan Baseman, artist; Chrissie Iles, Curator of Film and
Video at the Whitney Museum; and Frank Wilson, Clinical Professor of Neurology
at Stanford University, will join artist and Executive Director of the
Academy, Stephen Farthing for a discussion on the validity of
traditional art-making practices in the digital revolution and how contemporary art
education should redefine the relationship between handmade and digital
creativity.

The lectures and cocktail receptions are held at the recently
refurbished and expanded Lawrence and Josephine C. Wilkinson Hall at the New York
Academy of Art located at 111 Franklin Street, New York. For complete
