We are excited to announce the launch of our new publishing platform, e-flux Education! As the primary news source and platform for discourse surrounding contemporary art education globally, this new and independent program replaces the discontinued Art & Education service, which began sending email announcements in 2004 to provide information on cultural events, student enrollment, and teaching positions at art schools.

Delivered by email newsletter to you and other members of our global subscriber base, the content published by e-flux Education will be prominently displayed and archived on the e-flux homepage. The positioning of this platform at the heart of e-flux’s diverse publishing commitments recognizes that art education is the space in which the future of cultural production is debated, developed, and defined, with implications for every field in which e-flux is engaged.

This material will be archived alongside content previously distributed through the Art & Education service, growing a singularly important resource for information about the history of art education in the twenty-first century. By positioning this commitment at the heart of e-flux’s publishing activities, this platform will increase the visibility of regional educational programs and position them more clearly within the constellation of e-flux and the broader international art dialogue.

The commissioned content—profiles of schools, interviews with artists who teach, and more—will be presented alongside, and in conversation with, the editorial content of its sister publications e-flux Journal, e-flux Criticism, e-flux Architecture, and e-flux Notes. This consolidation of e-flux’s activities aims to establish connections between their diverse engagements and to reveal the many ways their activities crossover, inform, and illuminate each other.

In concert with the various branches of e-flux, e-flux Education will present essential news and discourse at the intersection of contemporary art and education, offering an unrivaled—and freely accessible—resource for all.
