“Research + Practice” lecture series

The George Washington University’s Corcoran School of the Arts & Design is pleased to announce its fall 2026 interdisciplinary “Research + Practice” event series. Discussions, lectures, and presentations are held on Wednesdays starting at 6:30pm ET in the GWU Corcoran Flagg Building. Visitors to the GWU Corcoran must register to attend; please click the links below to confirm a seat.

“Research + Practice” launched in the 2023–24 academic year as a way to connect GWU Corcoran students with arts-design practitioners. The event series, since, has become a vital space of exchange between the academic and professional arts and design communities in the Washington, DC region. Students gain real-world insights by engaging with active researchers and professionals across the arts and design fields. The conversations offer a consistent opening for cultivating and expanding creative discourse in the nation’s capital.
