Bar Laika is proud to present a new video by Coco Fusco: To Live in June with Your Tongue Hanging Out, (27 minutes, 2018).

The third of a suite of Fusco’s videos about poetry and politics in Cuba, this video essay explores writer Reinaldo Arenas’ vision and experience of the island and their connection to the present moment.

Coco Fusco is an interdisciplinary artist and writer whose work has been exhibited and published internationally. Fusco’s work explores gender, identity, race, and power through performance, video, interactive installations, and critical writing.
